Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak congratulated the national athletes who won 92 medals at the 2nd Down Syndrome World Sports Games (Trisome Games) held in Antalya.
Minister Bak used the following statements in his congratulatory message:
“We are proud to successfully host the 2nd World Sports Games for Down Syndrome, which is described as the Olympics of athletes with Down syndrome. At the Trisome Games, which was held in Antalya and attended by approximately a thousand athletes with Down syndrome from 33 countries, 30 won gold, 35 won silver, I congratulate our national athletes who won a total of 92 medals, 27 of which were bronze. I would like to thank those who contributed to waving our crescent-star flag and playing our National Anthem during the week-long organization, especially the devoted families of our special athletes. Our special athletes, who are very valuable to us, are always with them. “I state that we are their supporters and I wish the continued success of our athletes.”
